Confident Communication
Effective communication is more than speaking clearly—it is about understanding people, building meaningful connections, and expressing ideas with confidence. The Confident Communication Course helps students develop the interpersonal and communication skills needed to navigate academic, professional, and everyday interactions with greater clarity and confidence.
Through practical activities, reflection, and real-world scenarios, students will learn to communicate effectively with peers and collaborators, build stronger relationships with advisors, and present their ideas with confidence.
Course Details
Module 1: The Psychology of Communication
(1.5 Hrs)
Understand how perceptions, emotions, listening, and communication styles influence the way we connect and interact with others.
Module 2: Peer communication and collaboration (1.5 Hrs)
Develop skills for effective teamwork, active listening, giving and receiving feedback, managing differences, and collaborating with peers.
Module 3: Advisor-student communication 1.5 Hr)
Learn how to communicate professionally and effectively with advisors, articulate concerns and expectations, seek guidance, and build productive academic relationships.
Module 4: The Art of Public Speaking (1.5 Hr)
Build confidence in expressing ideas before an audience, structure compelling presentations, engage listeners, and communicate with clarity and impact.
