The Flourishing Hub at IIT Bombay works towards fostering psychological strength, emotional resilience, life skills, and holistic wellbeing among students. Through experiential workshops, mentorship programs, and flourishing retreats, the hub aims to build a culture of empathy, purpose, flourishing, and wellbeing on campus.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Psychology, Flourishing & Wellbeing Intern who is passionate about youth mental health, student wellbeing, and experiential learning. The intern will assist in workshop facilitation, research, content development, and program coordination to support large-scale student flourishing and wellbeing initiatives at IIT Bombay.
This role offers hands-on exposure to designing and implementing structured flourishing and wellbeing programs in a high-achievement academic environment.
No on campus accommodation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workshop & Program Support

Assist in planning and executing flourishing and wellbeing workshops (e.g., Psychological First Aid, Resilience, Digital Wellbeing, Emotional Intelligence)

Support session logistics, attendance tracking, and documentation

Assist in designing experiential activities and reflective exercises
-
Help prepare presentations, facilitator notes, and student handouts
2. Research & Assessment

Support in designing pre-post evaluation tools and feedback forms

Assist in data compilation and basic analysis (Excel/SPSS/R preferred)

Contribute to report writing and impact documentation
-
Support literature reviews related to student mental health, flourishing, and positive psychology
3. Content Development

Create student-friendly content for email communication, website updates, and social media

Assist in developing flourishing and mental health awareness materials and resource guides
-
Support development of training manuals for mentorship programs (ISMP, ISCP, IRSCP, etc.)
4. Student Engagement & Outreach

Coordinate with student volunteers and mentors

Assist in responding to student queries regarding workshops
-
Support event coordination for campus-wide flourishing and wellbeing initiatives
Eligibility Criteria
-
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in:
-
Psychology (Clinical, Counseling, Applied, Industrial, Social)
-
Behavioral Sciences
-
Applied Psychology
-
Social Work or related disciplines
-

Open to postgraduate students
-
Strong interest in youth mental health, flourishing, and campus wellbeing programs

Basic understanding of psychological frameworks

Good written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable working in group facilitation environment
Preferred Skills

Experience in workshop facilitation or group activities

Basic data analysis skills (Excel/SPSS/R)

Canva/PowerPoint design skills

Experience working with student groups or NGOs

Knowledge of Positive Psychology frameworks (e.g., PERMA, Growth Mindset)
