About The Flourishing Hub
The Flourishing Hub at IIT Bombay is dedicated to fostering psychological strength, emotional resilience, life skills, and holistic wellbeing among students. Through experiential workshops, mentorship programs, flourishing retreats, and evidence-based wellbeing initiatives, the Hub aims to build a campus culture of empathy, purpose, resilience, and flourishing.

Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern who is passionate about youth mental health, student wellbeing, and experiential learning. The intern will support the planning, implementation, research, and evaluation of large-scale student wellbeing initiatives at IIT Bombay.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to designing and delivering structured flourishing and wellbeing programs within a high-achievement academic environment.
Work Description
1. Workshop and Program Support

Assist in planning and executing flourishing and wellbeing workshops (e.g., Psychological First Aid, Resilience, Emotional Intelligence, Digital Wellbeing).

Support session logistics, attendance management, and documentation.

Assist in designing experiential activities, reflective exercises, and learning materials.
-
Prepare presentations, facilitator guides, handouts, and resource materials.
2. Research and Assessment
-
Support the development of pre-post assessments, feedback forms, and evaluation tools.

Assist with data compilation, management, and basic analysis using Excel.

Contribute to report writing and impact documentation.

Conduct literature reviews related to student mental health, flourishing, positive psychology, and wellbeing interventions.
3. Content Development
-
Create student-friendly content for emails, newsletters, website updates, and social media.
-
Develop awareness materials and wellbeing resource guides.
-
Support the creation of training manuals and facilitator resources for workshops.
4. Student Engagement and Outreach
-
Coordinate with student volunteers, mentors, and workshop participants.

Assist in responding to student queries related to programs and workshops.
-
Support the organization of campus-wide flourishing and wellbeing events.
Eligibility Criteria

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in:

Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Applied, Industrial/Organizational, Social)

Behavioural Sciences
-
Applied Psychology
-
Social Work
-
Related disciplines
-
Desired Profile
We are looking for candidates who:

Have a strong interest in working with young adults in educational settings.

Possess a basic understanding of psychological theories and wellbeing frameworks.

Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Are comfortable facilitating or co-facilitating group activities.

Exhibit empathy, initiative, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.

Can work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Are organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Skills
-
Experience in workshop facilitation or group-based interventions.

Basic data analysis skills (Excel).

Canva and PowerPoint design skills.

Experience working with student groups, NGOs, or community organizations.

Familiarity with Positive Psychology frameworks (e.g., PERMA, Growth Mindset, Character Strengths).
