NOCS-1 : Wellness Workshops

About the Course:

 

Wellness Workshops are a part of the NOCS01 course. This part of the course involves workshops that are aimed at promoting resilience, emotional awareness, and holistic well-being in order to help students thrive—personally, professionally, and academically.

These workshops go beyond addressing mental health concerns; they focus on empowering students with practical tools and skills for self-reflection, stress management, emotional regulation, and positive interpersonal relationships. The workshops also play a key role in normalizing conversations around mental health and encouraging help-seeking behavior.

 

Through this initiative, IIT Bombay aims to create a campus culture that supports emotional wellness, fosters inner strength, and equips students to navigate the demands of academic and personal life with confidence and care.

 

Evaluation:

 

This course has four workshops, each of 1.5 hours duration. In order to pass the NOCS01course, a student must attend and complete all four workshops. Each workshop involves 70 minutes of interaction followed by a short quiz. Each quiz is of 10 marks, with 4 marks as the passing score. 

 

If you miss a workshop due to a valid reason (as per institute norms), you must inform the course in charge immediately (contact details below) and provide appropriate proof. You will then be given a chance to attend a makeup session.

2) Substance Use Awareness

3) Sleep, nutrition, and digital wellbeing

4) Building healthy relationships

Schedule :

​

The workshops will be held as per the tutorial batches of MA 105 course. Each group is designated as DxTy, where Dx is the division number and Tx is the corresponding tutorial number. For example, D2T3 means the Division-2 and Tutorial Batch-3 in the same division. A separate batch is also allotted for students of B.Des. The schedule of the four workshops is as follows:
